Gait Analysis & Movement Assessment in Hastings

Understand how you move

Pain or niggles when you walk or run often come from how you move, not just where it hurts. At our St Leonards clinic we combine video gait analysis with a hands-on movement assessment, so we can see what’s really going on and give you a clear plan to fix it.

What is gait analysis?

Gait analysis is a detailed look at how you walk or run. Using slow-motion video, we assess your posture, stride, foot strike, joint movement, balance and symmetry, and spot the patterns that could be causing pain, holding back your performance or raising your risk of injury.

What is a movement assessment?

We look at how you squat, lunge, balance and control movement on one leg. It shows where you’re stiff, weak or compensating, and is ideal if you’re getting back to activity, or simply want to move better day to day.
